Professor Bogusław Pietrzak
has been working for Warsaw School of Economics since 1967. Since 1992, when a
Treasury Department has been established, until 2013, he was a head of it.
Scientific and research interests as well as teaching activity focus on the
theme of modern financial systems particularly on banking systems - commercial
banking and central banking. Moreover Professor’s interests concentrate on
problems of financial policy - relations between fiscal and monetary policy.
Since the beginning of his work for SGH he has been closely associated with
financial institutions. From 1983 to 2009 he has been working at the National
Bank of Poland. He is a member of the Polish Association of Finance and
Małgorzata Dworakowska Ph.D. has been working at the Department of Treasury of Warsaw School of Economics since 2015. She was awarded the academic degree of PhD in economical sciences in terms of finance having defended with distinction the dissertation entitled: “Conditioning of investment activity in cities on poviat status in Poland”. Her scientific and research interests focus on the theme of public finance and public financial system, especially on the issues of financial management in territorial self-government units. Her teaching activity first and foremost concerns microeconomics and macroeconomics. The author of a number of scientific studies.
She is interested in an efficiency of health care system, both the macroeconomic outlook: efficiency of spending public funds, as well as microeconomic perspective: the effectiveness of functioning of individual units, depending on their economic and legal form.
In 2007 she was the advisor to the Secretary of State in the Budget Department of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery. She cooperated with the Ministry of Finance in several projects concerning state budget: training for government officials from different ministries and public agencies; preparing for Ministry of Finance list of indicators used in state performance budget (for several Ministries and public offices), preparing an expertise about operating procedures concerning performance budget and management audit.
She hold Ph.D. in the field of Public Finance. Her research area regards state budget, public expenditures and public health system.

Dr Joanna Marczakowska-Proczka
Joanna Marczakowska-Proczka, Ph.D., has been working for Warsaw School of Economics (formerly the Central School of Planning and Statistics) since 1984, and since 1992 in the Department of Treasury. The author of numerous articles and publications on public finance. The main research fields are: the budget policy of the state and local government units, the tax system in Poland and in the world, as well as public debt management. She has extensive didactic experience in the domain of public finance. From 2003 to 2010, in her capacity as the Vice Dean of Master’s Studies, she gained valuable experience while co-operating with the whole university community. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, discovering new places, historical monuments and cultures. She spends any spare moment on reading non-fiction, belles-lettres literature and novels.
Lecturer in the Collegium of Socio-Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics , where he obtained PhD in Economic Sciences. His scientific and research interests concentrate on problems of functioning of public financial instruments, regional development and cohesion policy. Lecturer of microeconomics, macroeconomics and public finances. Exchange teacher at University of Liechtenstein.
Since 2007 he works in self-government of the Mazovia region. Currently he is a Director of the Department of Regional Development and European Funds in the Office of the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. His responsibilities include management and realization of Regional Operational Programmes and implementation of Regional Innovation Strategy. Expert of European Committee of the Regions. Member of the editorial team of “Mazowsze Studia Regionalne (Eng. Regional Studies of Mazovia) magazine.
Has been working at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) since 1969 and at the Department of Treasury since 1992. Her scientific interests and research focus on the functioning and stability of the public financial system and the granting of state aid in the European Union. She is the author of dozens scientific papers and co-editor of several monographs on public finance. She combines scientific and teaching activities with work in financial institutions and public administration (PKO BP S.A., Sejm commissions, Sejm Analytical Bureau (BAS)). She gives lectures and conducts diploma seminars on public finance, state aid and budgetary policy.
Lecturer at the Treasury Chair of the Collegium of Socio-Economics of the Warsaw School of Economy. Holds a Ph.D. degree in economic sciences in the field of finance which she obtained by defending a Ph.D. dissertation entitled: Rozwój międzynarodowego rynku obligacji i jego znaczenie dla Polski (Development of the international bond market and its significance for Poland). Her scientific interests focus around public finance and financial markets. She has long-standing experience from working for the banking sector in the area of financial markets. Graduate of Harvard Business School. She holds The Financial Markets Association diploma which she received with honors. She is a member of ACI The Financial Markets Association in Poland. Her didactic work concentrates on micro- and macroeconomics.
