1. Dynamics and factors of innovation gap between Poland and China – international and regional dimensions

The key research project objectives are: to measure the innovation gap between China and Poland, both directly and indirectly, with reference to the EU average, to identify the determinants of its evolution, to measure and compare the processes of innovation convergence or divergence at the regional level, and to assess the role of science, technology and innovation (STI) policy in increasing the innovativeness of the analysed economies.

Financed by the National Science Centre (NCN), OPUS 11, the project started on 01/03/2017 and will finish on 29/02/2020.

2. Korea-Visegrad Group Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP)

Engagement of the Warsaw School of Economics:

  • 2016/17:

  - Research Topic 1 “The National Innovation System of Poland”,
  - Research Topic 3 “Promotion of Technology Commercialization: Policies Supporting Start-ups in Poland”.

  • 2017/18: Research topic: Evaluation of science, technology and innovation (STI) policy.
The work in the Warsaw School of Economics is coordinated by prof. Marzenna Weresa.
3. Research cooperation on the One Belt One Road (OBOR) Project between Sichuan University, China, and the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), Poland (started in 2017)

4. Assessing and Improving Research Performance at South East Asian Universities" (REPESEA) implemented in the framework of ERASMUS+ Program, Capacity-Building projects in the field of Higher Education (E+CBHE)
The project aims to achieve the following specific objectives:
  • To develop and implement the System of the Assessment of the Quality and Impact of Research at partner higher education institutions in partner countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand).
  •  To develop, implement and accredit transferable research skill training modules at partner higher education institutions.
  •  To develop international cooperation among members of the partnership at regional and interregional level.

The project started on 15/10/2016 and will finish on 14/10/2019.
