The current research of the Unit members encompasses a wide range of topics. In  2013 and 2014 two quantitative studies of Polish SMEs were conducted with the goal of identifying  their involvement in value co-creation activities with the customers and to investigate their open innovation practices (prof. Jolanta Mazur and dr Piotr Zaborek). To enable cross-sector comparison, the sample included both manufacturing and service companies. Another study by dr Piotr Zaborek was looking at the implementation of CSR by Polish SMEs. The research interests of dr Dominika Mirońska are focused on non-profit organizations, most of which are service providers. The management of relations of non-profits with stakeholders was the topic of her research project conducted in 2013/14 in Carson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, USA.
